NASA & ESA Telescopes Find Evidence for Asteroid Belt Around Vega
Astronomers have discovered what appears to be a large asteroid belt around the star Vega, the second brightest star in northern night skies. The scientists used data from NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope and the European Space Agency’s Herschel Space Observatory, in which NASA plays an important role. The data are consistent with both stars having inner, warm belts and outer, cool belts separated by a gap. This architecture is similar to the asteroid and Kuiper belts in our own solar system.
Hyades & Pleiades | R.A.s: 3h 47m - 04h 28m; Dec.: +24° 07′ - +15° 45′| (Taurus Open Star Clusters)
These two star clusters are actually stellar nurseries, a birthplace for stars. Along astronomical timeliness, the Pleiades are very recent events, born after the dinosaurs were extinct on the Earth. The stars are very hot, giant stars and in stellar lives, bigger is not better. Larger stars live a fast paced life, burning through their fuel at an incredible rate. The newborn Pleiades will have lived their lives and be in the last stages of stellar evolution before our Sun even begins to show signs of old age. Though planets may form around these stars, intelligent life will never have the chance to evolve.

Phobos, the largest and innermost of two Martian moons, is the darkest moon in the entire Solar System. Its unusual orbit and color indicate that it may be a captured asteroid composed of a mixture of ice and dark rock. The above picture of Phobos near the limb of Mars was captured last month by the robot spacecraft Mars Express currently orbiting Mars. (Credit: G. ATEL #3715: MASTER auto-detection system at Blagoveshchensk (MASTER-Amur) has detected new transient source at the position of (R.A., Dec) = 08h 14m 43.89s, +12d 54m 59s.7 (J2000) 2011-10-24 18:58:57 (UT). The optical transient is believed to be a supernova and is seen clearly two images (see link below). We have reference images with no optical source. There is no minor planet at this place.
About: We have the SDSS J081443.33+125503.8 galaxy with unknown z and 23.0 mag in g SDSS and the SDSS J081443.90+125500.0 star with g=21.8 close to OT position. The discovery image is available at: http://bit.ly/uWYBCd.
